Dr. Otmar Schreiner, Head of Interior Electronic Solutions France, IES R&D, Continental Automotive

Continental not only makes tyres, but also in-car electronics solutions. Today's high-end cars can have up to 90 electronic control units, and the next step is connect this network to the wider environment. For example augmenting radar with data from other vehicles or infrastructure for a safer driving experience. Making better use out of the data collected, to increase functionality, will require open innovation and collaboration with other industries.
