Powered by Nokia's industry-leading solution, Belgian telco operator Proximus launched the world's first 25 Gigabit per second live fiber network at a media event on May 26 in the city of Antwerp. 25G PON is the next step in the evolution of PON technology. It will enable high bandwidth applications from 8K video streaming to digital twins to 5G backhaul. And it is available now—Nokia’s Quillion based XGS-PON networks being deployed today are 25G-ready.
