Nokia signs licence agreement with Hisense, ending all patent-related litigation

Nokia today announced it has signed a multi-year patent licence agreement with Hisense covering the use of Nokia’s video technologies in the consumer electronics maker’s televisions. Under the agreement, Hisense will make royalty payments to Nokia. The agreement resolves all patent-related litigation between the parties in all jurisdictions. This is Nokia’s first patent licence agreement with Hisense. The terms of the agreement are confidential, as agreed between the parties. 

"Nokia enables other companies to build on our innovation by licensing the use of our patented technologies and we are delighted to have reached an agreement with Hisense which recognises Nokia’s leadership in video and multimedia research and standardisation," said Susanna Martikainen, Chief Licensing Officer Wireless Technologies, Nokia.
