ZTE and Telcel Launch Blade V6 for Latin America at Campus Party

Cutting-edge ZTE Blade V6 becomes first ever mobile phone to launch at Campus Party

24 July 2015, Guadalajara, Jalisco -€“ ZTE, a leading global mobile device maker, today at Campus Party launched the ZTE Blade V6 with carrier partner Telcel. The ZTE Blade V6 is the first ever mobile phone to launch at Campus Party, where it was revealed to 'Campuseros'€™ (hackers, developers, gamers and geeks) at an exclusive launch event.

The ZTE Blade V6 is the latest and thinnest device in ZTE'€™s affordable premium Blade series, and was first unveiled last week at the Mobile World Congress Shanghai 2015 (announced as the 'Blade D6'€™). At the Campus Party launch event, young and excited Campuseros were able to network with each other and test out the new Blade V6 in the innovative '€œZTE Drone Zone'€.

Speaking at the event, Oscar Lara, VP of ZTE, said: "€œOur long-term goal has always been for every Mexican to own a ZTE smartphone, ever since we first set foot in the Mexican market. We are getting closer and closer to achieving this goal, and we’re doing so by offering great handsets with competitive features that deliver benefits beyond their price brackets."€

Through its partnership with Telcel, ZTE is able to make the Blade V6 widely available to customers, offering Telcel's 4G network on an affordable premium handset that packs the latest specifications and hardware.

The ZTE Blade V6 will be available on both as pay-as-you-go and all Telcel plans.

Following its launch in Mexico, the Blade V6 will be made available in Spain, Germany, Russia, Australia and Japan in the second half of this year.
