Samsung Galaxy S6 just got edgier.

Samsung has announced the Galaxy S6 edge+, and it’s coming soon to O2.

In March this year, Samsung launched their newest flagship phones, the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge. The S6 was a natural evolution to their already-brilliant S series, but the S6 edge was the real showstopper. Featuring a new dual edge display which curves around the sides of the phone’s body, Samsung wowed us with their design prowess.

This week – less than six months later – they’ve done it again with the Galaxy S6 edge+. That little ‘+’ at the end might be easy to miss, but you can’t miss the enhancements it brings – the most obvious of which is the bigger 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, complete with the groundbreaking dual edge technology that set the original Galaxy S6 edge apart from the crowd.

You might think, as with some other ‘plus-sized’ phone variants, that a bigger screen might make the Galaxy S6 edge+ a challenge to hold. Not the case – somehow, Samsung have managed to cram the bigger screen into a phone that’s just 12mm longer and 5mm wider than the S6 edge. They’ve even made it 0.1mm thinner than the S6 edge too, although we’re not sure how. We suspect witchcraft.

Apart from the screen size, the Galaxy S6 edge+ mostly boasts the same impressive specification as the Galaxy S6 edge – from the octa-core processor to the 16-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras.

There are a few tweaks, however: The battery capacity’s been beefed up, so you can live life on the edge for longer between wireless charges, and 4GB of RAM – a 1GB increase over the Galaxy S6 edge.
