A lot of progress has been made since the company’s last 5G summit in Hong Kong in 2018, with the first commercial network launches across many countries worldwide rolling out ahead of schedule in 2019, including in Europe. Although 5G is very much focused on consumer launches at the moment, its benefits will be felt across many different verticals from IoT and manufacturing to automotive and other sectors, leading to great innovation and productivity gains as “5G is the enabler for the digital transformation of all of these sectors”.
