Keerti Melkote, President, Intelligent Edge and Founder, Aruba Networks

Where does 5G leave Wi-Fi? It’s a question that comes up every time there is an evolution in cellular, says Keerti Melkote, President of Intelligent Edge and Founder of Aruba Networks. Keerti explains why Wi-Fi is designed into 5G so you can have Wi-Fi as one of the access methods. The key to Wi-Fi 6, he says, is that it will allow control of device-specific access to the air, which in turn means it can be made to behave like the cellular ecosystem. He explains why Wi-Fi 6 and 5G are complementary and will eventually come together.
