5G, IoT and SD-WAN are among the technologies that are creating a lot of disruption in the communications industry. However, these new technologies require a high level of both Opex and Capex investment. CSPs’ greatest needs are to monetise these investments and Accenture believes that the only way to do this is via a long term vision, restructuring for innovation and to have the right ecosystem to execute this vision with precision. CSPs now have the opportunity to extend their B2B value chain beyond connectivity to regain a pivotal role in the B2B market by orchestrating horizontal and vertical services. Anything underpinned by premium connectivity can therefore become a path to growth for the CSP.
