Specific areas of cooperation will initially include the use of Huawei's fixed and mobile connectivity bonding technology for new products, investigating the opportunities for in-building coverage solutions, the development of new Machine-to-Machine module designs, and developing solutions regarding Safe City, Internet of Things, and cloud data centers.

Vodafone Group Enterprise, Chief Executive, Nick Jeffery, said, "We have worked with Huawei across various parts of our business and this agreement to focus on the enterprise market is an important evolution. There is an opportunity for us both to bring our expertise to bear on some of the key challenges in the enterprise market."

Mr. Yan Lida, President, Enterprise Business Group, Huawei, said: "Now, many enterprises realize that technology-led transformation is necessary for companies to stay competitive, and improve operational efficiency and performance. Huawei is pleased to extend our long-standing relationship with Vodafone to establish a new agreement. We aim to carry out joint innovations, integrate our ICT expertise and global resources, help customers cope with challenges and opportunities brought by the new industrial revolution, and push ICT transformation in the industry."

At the signing ceremony, Huawei and Vodafone were represented by senior executives including Yan Lida, President, Enterprise Business Group, Huawei; Zheng Yelai, President, IT Product Line, Huawei; Liu Shaowei, President, Switch and Enterprise Communications Product Line, Huawei; Leon He, President, Huawei Enterprise West Europe; Nick Jeffery, CEO, Vodafone Group Enterprise; Jan Geldmacher, CEO, Vodafone Global Enterprise; Scott Petty, Group Enterprise CTO; Jeni Mundy, Group Enterprise product director; Michelle Senecal de Fonseca, director of cloud & hosting services; Erik Brenneis, director of machine-to-machine; and Mark Allinson, Group Enterprise marketing director.
