Deutsche Telekom opens production site in Budapest for its Pan-Net

Guy Daniels
By Guy Daniels

Aug 11, 2016

Deutsche Telekom has opened the first production site in Budapest, Hungary, for its pan-European network (Pan-Net) project, and expects it to be fully operational and ready to run the first services for all its European subsidiaries by the end of 2016. Two more production sites will come online during 2017 in Poland and Greece, and the three sites will form the back-end of Deutsche Telekom’s future infrastructure in Europe.

The structure will enable Deutsche Telekom to offer newly developed services throughout Europe within just a few days, enabling subsidiaries in each country to take a "pick and choose" approach when putting its portfolio together. Individual services like SMS, voicemail or email will be provided for all countries in the form of product building-block modules, designed to address the demands of local markets.
