Sean McManus, TelecomTV (00:08):
Hi, I am Sean McManus from Telecom tv. I'm here at MWC this week and in this video we're going to be discussing elevating customer experience with ai. I'm joined now by Koji Kurushima, who is the CEO of Mobicom corporation. And Saurabh Ohri, who is the vice president of Circles. Now let's talk about the partnership between your two companies. I understand you're working together to bring AI powered innovation to telecommunications in Central Asia. Koji. Why is this partnership important for mobic com corporation?

Koji Kurushima, Mobicom (00:39):
Okay, thank you for the question. So we are Mongolian MNOs working in the territory of Mongolia for the last 29 years. And of course telecommunication has evolved throughout the last 28 years, starting from two G, 3G, 4G. So based on that technology involvement, data appetite of the customer has also increasing the Mongolian market. But when you look at the situation, data demand will come to end somewhere on the line. So we need to really think about the new revenue opportunity or revenue stream, how to try to enrich a customer's demand for use internet, and that's where it can explore, which is the innovation engine, which is provided by circles, which uses AI technology to try to give the personalized offering, which is right timing. We found circles and that's where our journey started.

Sean McManus, TelecomTV (01:24):
Saurabh from Circles perspective, why were Mongolia and become corporation the right fit for Explores next market expansion?

Saurabh Ohri, Circles (01:33):
Great question. First of all, I would like to thank mobi com and jisun. We are privileged to partner with mobi com to launch Explore, which is an AI powered engagement platform for the Mongolian market. If you look at Mongolia, it is towards the path of digital transformation. The government announced a Digital nation initiative, which they want the market to be 90% digitally transformed by 2025. The youths of the market have evolved needs. They want to have personalized experiences and they want to have services which are tailored to their needs. With all this, Mongolia was one of our obvious choices and with the partnership and the innovative approach of mobi com, we are also aligned on a common vision, which is how do we progress towards a telco to Teco journey together? So we are very happy with this partnership and we look forward to deliver a very successful outcome in the market in terms of superior customer experience.

Sean McManus, TelecomTV (02:48):
Koji, tell us more about how Explore will transform the digital experience for Mobicom customers.

Koji Kurushima, Mobicom (02:54):
Sure, that's a very good question. So Moola is actually a very small market. We only have 3.5 million population. So when you consider a population, usually when we do marketing offering, you do segmentation, but if you segment 3.5 million, it's very difficult to provide a one-to-one offering. Whereas Circles has a platform which is an AI enabled, which means that through the past experiences of the customer behavior, we can give a one-to-one personalized offers, which can give more engagement for the existing customers as well as it can help us to reduce churn because the small market churn reduction is very critical mission for us to have our business sustainable.

Sean McManus, TelecomTV (03:33):
AI driven customer engagement is a major trend today. How does Explore use AI to create digital first experiences?

Saurabh Ohri, Circles (03:40):
Thank you for a good question. First of all, we are looking at a generation which we call as generation digital. This is basically segmented into two different behavior set, which is a bond digital, which is 35 to 40 years and below and evolving towards digital, which is 40 plus. But their needs are similar. They want personalized experiences, they want real time decisions and they want superior customer experience. If you look at a smartphone today, you will have 90% of the apps which are OTT apps, and there would be one telco app. The customer is expecting a OTT like experience from their telco app. And this is what Circles explore platform is delivering to the market. The engine is AI powered. We can at a real time get customer insights, their behaviors and we can tailor different kind of offers which we can launch in the market for different segments. This helps in revenue enhancement, this helps in churn reduction and this builds the overall higher lifetime value of a customer.

Sean McManus, TelecomTV (05:05):
Koji now that's Explore is live in Mongolia. How this align with your strategy to transform from a telco to a TechCo?

Koji Kurushima, Mobicom (05:12):
Oh yes. So that's also a very good question. I think everybody's now talking about telco to TechCo. I think this is because we want to go beyond connectivity. Connectivity is of course our core value which we provide to the customers, but with the core only the connectivity, it's going to be very limited to provide value to the customers. So now connectivity is pretty much available everywhere. So we need to put something on top of it which the customers will be interested in. I think that's what the EXPLO has and as SAR said that it gives a personalized offering. So each customer's demand is different, their behavior is different. It cannot be just talked by generations nowadays. So I think these kind of AI generated content delivery will help our customers to be more satisfied with our services, which will increase their in the future as well.

Sean McManus, TelecomTV (05:58):
Saurabh, tell us what's next for circles and explore. Do you see further expansion potential in Central Asia?

Saurabh Ohri, Circles (06:06):
We are now live in five markets for explore with fifth one being Central Asia. With mob com we see similar pain points globally, which is telcos today want to elevate how they deliver the customer experience. How do they tailor the experience on the digital app and how do they ensure that they understand their segment well? So we think that we are confident that the market is vast for us. We have started this journey on explore and we are very confident that we are going to expand into further markets like North America, Latin America, et cetera, and further penetrate into our existing markets where we have already went live for Explore.

Sean McManus, TelecomTV (06:59):
Well gentlemen, thank you so much for joining me today. It's been a pleasure.

Koji Kurushima, Mobicom (07:03):
Thank you very much.

Saurabh Ohri, Circles (07:04):
Thank you.
