Comba Telecom is based in Hong Kong with more than 60 POPs globally, offering wireless enhancement solutions, such as DAS, and access solutions, suck as WiFi and small cells. The company is the leading provider of small cells to the Chinese market, which is currently being driven by enterprise users.
The trend in China is to provide value-add on top of basic connectivity. Comba offers a virtualised open platform on top of its small cell solution, with APIs so that different applications can be hosted from various partners, sharing business revenues with operators. It is also focused on Mobile Edge Computing to help operators with their evolution towards 5G, starting to offer new use cases on top of MEC before a full migration to 5G.
