SANTA CLARA, Calif. – IP Infusion, a leading provider of network disaggregation solutions for telecom and data communications operators, today announced that Afribone, a leading Internet service provider in the Republic of Mali in Western Africa is deploying a disaggregated router solution based on IP Infusion’s OcNOS® network operating system. Afribone is expanding its multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) network in order to better serve fixed wireless enterprise customers and to provide high availability, carrier-class connectivity to their data centers.

Founded in 1999, Afribone serves local private and public enterprises, including international and national Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO), embassies and several United Nations organizations. In 2020, Afribone’s local loop radio distribution network was ranked as the best Internet service provider in the Republic of Mali – West Africa.

OcNOS is the industry’s full-featured network operating system for white box disaggregated network solutions that provides transition from traditional networks to open networks.  With this OcNOS-based disaggregated router solution, Afribone is expanding their network capacity by replacing legacy, purpose-built hardware with disaggregated solutions.  IP Infusion’s OcNOS is running on Afribone’s white box routers to connect fixed wireless enterprise clients to Afribone’s backbone network and data center.
