Update on Project Groups
The CrowdCell project group aims to extend indoor 4G coverage and enabling radio programmability through a plug-and-pay relay concept. In August 2018, Vodafone and Telefónica released a set of RFIs for CrowdCell technology and have now released the results of their RFI processes, selecting Lime Microsystems and Alpha Networks to provide an e2e CrowdCell platform. Through these RFIs the operators have created a consolidated view on the state of the open ecosystem for CrowdCell platforms, including key vendors, integrators, and innovators.
