Today, Intel announced the availability the Intel® Building Management Platform (Intel BMP) to help small- and medium-size buildings become smart and connected. Intel® BMP has built-in security and manageability essentials to manage data from a broad set of building systems and sensors, and to filter and transfer data to the cloud (or on-premises servers). This helps make buildings smarter to increase savings in energy and efficiency as well as create a more sustainable, enjoyable and productive use of the building by its occupants.
Early contributors to the Intel BMP include CANDI for software services, Advantech for Intel® IoT Gateways and Microsoft Azure IoT Hub for managing millions of IoT assets.
Intel BMP was originally demonstrated at IBCON in June 2016. Early adopting customers include Lucid and Volteo; both are piloting solutions in various small and midsize buildings through the end of the year.
