Integrations with Lightspeed Systems and VMware Enhance Enterprise Security Architecture
SAN FRANCISCO—RSA Conference 2017, Booth N4410—Feb. 16, 2017 —Ruckus Wireless™, a part of Brocade, today announced new integrations between its Cloudpath™ software and products from leading network security vendors. The Cloudpath security and policy management platform enables IT organizations of any size to easily establish secure, policy-based access for wired and wireless devices. With these integrations, Cloudpath software complements other network security elements by distributing identity and policy information to enhance overall security. The Cloudpath ecosystem now includes Lightspeed Systems for content filtering and VMware AirWatch® for enterprise mobility management (EMM).
“Cloudpath is a critical element of the security infrastructure in enterprise IT networks around the globe,” said Bart Giordano, vice president of business development, Ruckus Wireless Business Unit, Brocade. “As a result of the partnerships with Lightspeed Systems and VMware, our customers can use Cloudpath software to enhance their overall security posture by sharing critical user- and device-centric information across multiple network elements.”
The partnership with Lightspeed Systems provides schools and businesses with the ability to filter HTTPS internet traffic. After end users are onboarded using Cloudpath software, Lightspeed provides granular filtering of internet traffic based on Organizational Unit group/user, IP address, range and time of day. Lightspeed can then decrypt and inspect any amount of HTTPS traffic for content that violates certain standards as defined by the organization or by law—an important capability for primary education.
Cloudpath software with VMware AirWatch solutions extends EMM support for customers of both products. Cloudpath software assesses the network authorization status of every device—and it can be used to enforce AirWatch device management for certain devices such as IT-issued assets and to secure BYOD, guest and other devices with appropriate network policies. Cloudpath and AirWatch can share the same onboard Certificate Authority on Cloudpath with differentiated templates for simplified and centralized PKI infrastructure. This enables IT departments to more easily manage devices while providing support remotely.
