There are many paths into the cloud. To help companies through their digital transformations from the start and assist them in finding a secure cloud solution that is custom-tailored to their specific needs, Deutsche Telekom and KPMG are combining their cloud competencies.

Deutsche Telekom is bringing its competency as a cloud provider, its experience in countless transformation projects and its fully redundantly designed, ultra-secure data centers in Germany to the partnership. Cloud operations are therefore subject to Germany's strict Federal Data Protection Act, a major decision-making criterion for companies accounting to the Cloud Monitor 2015 by KPMG. According to this study, three-quarters of the surveyed companies expect their cloud provider to have its data centers and headquarters in Germany – like Deutsche Telekom does. Furthermore, as a technology-independent provider, Deutsche Telekom and its corporate customers arm T-Systems can design the right solutions for companies of any size.

KPMG can also draw upon its years of experience in cloud consulting – particularly involving the issues of cloud compliance, readiness, strategy and transformation. Working together, Deutsche Telekom and KPMG determine which cloud solution is the best match for a given customer's needs and then support the companies as partners for the simple, secure, cost-effective digitization of business processes.

Optimal cloud strategy

Deutsche Telekom and KPMG advise companies that want to transform their internal IT to the cloud with regard to strategy, technical implementation and compliance. If customer data or industrial secrets are involved, for example, maximum protection against data loss and unauthorized access is required. In such cases, the cloud in one of Deutsche Telekom's ultra-secure data centers provides the highest possible security and availability. The public cloud, in contrast, enables simple access via the Internet and high scalability, while a hybrid cloud offers an optimal combination of both models.
