Ricky Watts, General Manager, SDN Solutions, Wind River
Ricky Watts tells Martyn Warwick how Wind River, now part of Intel, has capitalised on its early mover advantage with SDN and NFV. The company, he claims, was early to recognise the way the industry was going with its Linux and virtualisation profiles, so they brought in telecoms-oriented talent to take early mover advantage. Ricky says Wind River customers want to understand more and are asking searching questions about the technologies. He expects aggressive small deployments through 2015.
