Pre-testing VNFs to maintain customer SLA levels

IXIA focuses on testing, security and visibility solutions. NFV is the first time multiple companies and solutions have come together, changing the previous model of being standalone. VNFs simply the implementation process, reduce the operational cost, and deliver improved flexibility. It is very important to pre-test VNFs, as a telco can't change from one technology to another without verifying that their customers can keep the same SLA, or indeed improve it. Every previous appliance or hardware-based solution needs to be able to be virtualised and easily accessed in an NFV environment, and to be able to extract data from NFV to appropriate test and monitoring tools.
