Panel Discussion

This TelecomTV Superpanel, sponsored by Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Intel, was held at the truly remarkable Louwman Museum in The Hague, and brought together an exceptional team of very senior NFV experts in a lively and informative debate examining the proposition that IoT is a major driver for NFV in Communication Service Provider networks. It is a particularly important subject because IoT services have the potential to give CSPs the ability to offer their customers exciting new services and applications - and that also means exciting new revenue opportunities for the CSPs themselves, but only if they go about things in the right way.

To make new services profitable, carriers need to offer more than just connectivity. They need to offer a platform to deliver secure, assured, automated and optimised managed services if they are to take maximum advantage of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity which, analysts have calculated, will be worth some US$1.3 TRILLION.

PARTICIPANTS:

Lynn Comp. Director of Market Development, Network Platforms Group, Intel
David Vasquez. Senior IoT Specialist, Verizon.
Ray Mota. CEO and Principal Analyst. ACG Research.
Eric De Beau. Head of R&D, Network Division, IT Solutions for the Core Network. Orange.
Prodip Sen. CTO, Network Functions Virtualisation, Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

Moderator: Martyn Warwick. Editor-in-Chief. TelecomTV.

FILMED AT: Louwman Museum, The Hague, Netherlands
