Presentation

To ensure industry adoption of the outcomes of research projects standards represent an inclusive approach to ensuring market take up and interoperability. This session will examine the benefits and challenges of standards as well as examining the INSPIRE-5GPLUS project that looks to a radical shift in security management by designing and implementing a fully automated end-to-end smart network and service management framework.

Biography 

Chrystel Gaber received her PhD from University of Caen in 2013 in Computing Systems. After an experience as project coordinator and R&D engineer in Fime, she joined Orange as a researcher & project coordinator. She contributes to several projects related to cyber-physical security, security management and certification. She participated in the FP7 project MASSIF and ensured the coordination lead of the CELTIC-PLUS project ODSI. She currently participates to the H2020 Project Inspire5G+ where she leads the task 4.4 related to Liability Management in complex infrastructures such as 5G networks or Software-Defined IoT.

Alex Leadbeater

Chairman, ETSI NFV SEC, (BT)

Biography 

Alex is Head of Global Obligations and Futures for BT Plc. Alex graduated from Warwick University in 1999 with a Masters in Electronic Engineering. He has held a variety of posts in a wide range of technical, design and regulatory governance areas for BT Plc.

Alex has been involved in Global Standardization and R&D in Mobile and Security technology for over 20 years. Alex has regularly contributed to various Standardization groups including 3GPP and ETSI. In recent years Alex has focused on Telecoms Network Virtualisation (NFV), Cyber Security, AI and Regulatory aspects. Alex is currently Chair of ETSI TC Cyber, Chair ETSI ISG NFV SEC, Chair ETSI ISG AI and Chair of 3GPP SA3’s regulatory sub-working group. He regularly presents at International Conferences on Cyber Security and Regulatory matters.
