For service providers, the cost of network transformation and virtualisation is colossal. And, apart from the practical difficulties involved in making such a massive change they also need to make a return on the enormous investments that are making. Thus the ability to monetise, to charge for the new services is central to realising that that ROI. ETSI recognises this and has set up a working group to articulate a coherent strategy and roadmap to help network operators to start to make money from NFV.
