Paris, June 18th, 2026 - Scaleway, the European cloud and AI provider of the iliad Group, today announces a new series of partnerships with leading enterprises, public research institutions and deep tech players across cloud, artificial intelligence, hardware and quantum computing.
Major organizations are turning to European cloud and AI players
Scaleway is announcing new collaborations with major organizations across insurance, luxury, media, transport and data intelligence. These partnerships include MAIF, LVMH, Ouest-France and ChapsVision. Together, they demonstrate that European cloud adoption has become a strategic business decision to maintain control over their data & their costs, reduce their technology dependencies and accelerate their innovation roadmaps.
MAIF is working with Scaleway to modernize its cloud foundations while maintaining strong links with existing systems, enabling future managed services and AI use cases within a trusted European environment.
As one of France’s leading media groups, Ouest-France will rely on Scaleway to support its digital transformation, at a time when trusted European cloud and AI capabilities are becoming increasingly important for content production, data management and new audience experiences.
LVMH has chosen Scaleway as part of its strategy to build a credible European cloud platform, and to gain greater control over cloud costs, technology choices and long-term digital transformation.
ChapsVision, the European leader in trusted data intelligence, has chosen Scaleway to support the hypergrowth of its platform and broader AI portfolio. This partnership reflects a shared conviction: Europe’s strategic autonomy depends on the ability to build a complete technology value chain, from cloud platforms to software applications, operated by European players. Additional key partners have recently entrusted Scaleway with their cloud platform: Odigo, leading European player in AI-orchestrated customer relations and customer experience; Orasio, developing European video AI solutions designed to detect, alert and support action in critical environments; and CHU of Montpellier, which leads the ALLIANCE SANTÉ IA consortium with ADLIN Science, bringing a strategic technology in order to build the first AI-powered hospital of France.
Together, these announcements mark a new stage for European strategic autonomy. Enterprises are no longer looking at European cloud providers only as secondary or niche alternatives. They are increasingly turning to European players for strategic workloads, long-term cloud transformation and AI deployment, in order to regain greater control over their data, costs, technology choices and innovation roadmaps.
“Maintaining control over our data and technologies across all our markets is both a strategic priority and a major requirement for LVMH and its Maisons. Our partnership with Scaleway, whose agile approach and time-to-market capabilities are particularly well aligned with our needs, reflects the Group’s ambition to work with the best players in each market and to support a dynamic and sustainable European ecosystem that guarantees the highest standards of performance and security.” Franck Le Moal, Group CIO, LVMH
“Deeply committed to the values of digital sovereignty, the SIPA Ouest-France Group has chosen Scaleway as its cloud infrastructure provider. This choice follows several months of in-depth work, particularly on technological aspects, including the completion of several POCs. This work has reinforced our confidence in Scaleway’s ability to support us in our digital and AI development, while ensuring the protection of our assets.” Laurent Jurrius, Information Technology Director, Ouest-France
"Application software is the last line of defense for European digital sovereignty. But this sovereignty cannot be complete without a cloud infrastructure that measures up. By choosing Scaleway, we guarantee a 100% European value chain. This is a key step in our ambition: to embody a new path for European industrial, sovereign and sustainable tech." Silvano Sansoni, Group CEO of ChapsVision
“For leading organizations, cloud and AI are no longer just technology choices. They are strategic decisions about continuity, control and freedom of action. Critical services should not only rely on platforms that can be restricted, suspended or governed by decisions taken outside Europe. By choosing Scaleway, these organizations are choosing a European cloud provider designed to reduce extraterritorial exposure, limit technological dependencies and give them lasting control over the systems that power their operations, without compromise on performance. This is what European strategic autonomy looks like in practice.” Damien Lucas, CEO of Scaleway.
Building a European AI inference offer with VSORA, ZML and Région Île-de-France
Scaleway is partnering with VSORA, ZML and Région Île-de-France to enable the deployment of a European AI inference offer based on VSORA’s Jotunn8 processor. The project brings together key players of the AI value chain: VSORA’s French-designed inference processor, Scaleway’s European cloud platform, ZML’s managed inference stack, and Région Île-de-France's support to move from innovation to deployment.
By integrating VSORA’s Jotunn8 technology into its cloud platform, Scaleway seeks to give customers an additional option for deploying AI inference workloads, alongside existing GPU-based solutions. By connecting chip design, cloud operations, managed inference and public support, the project contributes to a more diverse and resilient AI ecosystem, representing another milestone in expanding Europe's technology options alongside global solutions.
Public-private collaboration turns AI research into production use cases
One year after announcing their strategic partnership, Scaleway, GENCI and the CNRS are presenting the first concrete results of their public-private continuum for AI, created to simplify moving projects from experimentation to deployment.
Around ten projects have already benefited from this interoperability. Among them, RATP’s Sillon project, developed with the startup Pleias, illustrates the value of this continuum. Sillon, RATP’s first open source AI model, was trained entirely on GENCI’s public computing resources at IDRIS, before being deployed for large-scale inference on Scaleway’s European cloud platform for RATP agents. Trained on 100% synthetic data, this 600-million-parameter Small Language Model is designed to reason on passenger messages and detect signs of distress or emergency.
This first use case shows how Europe can build more effective bridges between research excellence and operational deployment, helping AI projects move faster from scientific work to real-world impact.
Scaleway expands its quantum ecosystem with Quobly
Scaleway is strengthening its quantum cloud offering through a new partnership with Quobly, a French quantum computing company developing silicon-based quantum processors.
As part of this partnership, Quobly’s Alloy Pioneer quantum computer emulator is now integrated into Scaleway’s Quantum as a Service platform and made available to users.
A second phase of the partnership aims to provide access to Quobly’s Alloy Pioneer quantum computer by the end of 2026, enabling users to progressively transition from emulation to hardware execution within the same environment.
Alongside established European innovators such as Pasqal, Quandela, IQM and AQT, Quobly’s silicon spin qubits technology adds a new strategic architecture to Scaleway’s multi modal ecosystem. It will be accessible through SDK integrations with widely used quantum development frameworks such as Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane and CUDA-Q.
With this announcement, Scaleway enriches its Quantum Adoption Program, confirming its ambition to remain a leading European platform for quantum experimentation, hybrid computing and emerging deep tech use cases.
“Making quantum computing useful requires more than building quantum processors. It also means making them accessible to developers and future users through the environments they already rely on. By partnering with Scaleway, we are enabling users to start developing and validating applications on Alloy Pioneer today, while preparing the transition to our first silicon quantum computers as they become available. This collaboration reflects our commitment to making quantum computing progressively deployable within existing cloud and HPC infrastructures.” said, Maud Vinet, CEO and co-founder of Quobly
