Vodafone first to offer unlimited data plans to large business and public sector

21st Jan 2020 - UK: Vodafone has today become the first network operator in the UK to offer unlimited data plans to large business and public sector customers, enabling them to provide employees with unlimited data, minutes and texts each month. The Vodafone Business Unlimited tariff will cater to the needs of large business clients; whilst the Public Sector Inclusive Unlimited tariff has been tailored for organisations in the public sector.

Vodafone’s unlimited tariffs offer business customers unlimited data and 5G at the same price as 4G, enabling larger companies and public sector organisations to unlock the full potential of their workforce by removing limits on mobile data as a barrier to productivity. Mobile data usage is already increasing at a rate of 50% year-on-year; and this is predicted to grow as 5G brings WiFi-like speeds on the go, enabling people and applications to interact, seamlessly, over a mobile network with no lag or delay.

Vodafone’s 5G network is now available in more than 100 locations across the UK and Europe. It will enable employees to upload and download large files, video conference and hold virtual meetings – all with fast connectivity and low latency. And unlimited data plans mean no concerns about data limits and simple, predictable costs.

Anne Sheehan, Director, Vodafone Business UK, commented: “Our large business and public sector customers tell us they don’t want to have to predict how much data their employees will use. Today, we are making it simple for them with the flexibility and peace of mind that the Vodafone Business Unlimited tariffs provide. And we are committed to helping our customers take advantage of 5G by offering 5G for the same price as 4G. We want to help UK organisations become global leaders and believe 5G will play an important role in achieving this aim.”
