- Developed in partnership with Canopus Networks, “Astrotel AI Connect” uses Agentic AI and SuperNetflow to autonomously monitor, repair and secure network connectivity and devices in real-time
Sydney, Australia – Astrotel today announced the global launch of Astrotel AI Connect, available on broadband or dedicated fibre services for commercial premises worldwide. The solution is designed to autonomously monitor, repair, and secure networks in real-time, along with the applications, devices, sensors, and robotics operating on them.
Astrotel AI Connect uses SuperNetflow technology for deep observability into telco network data, and Agentic AI for autonomous reasoning and decision making. This enables the network to act as a unified platform for managing applications, devices, sensors, and robotics – individually and as an interconnected system.
The platform has been developed in partnership with Canopus Networks, an Australian technology company spun out from the research lab of Professor Vijay Sivaraman at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney, Australia. The solution incorporates eight patents in Software Defined Networking and AI, as well as UNSW’s research and patent into behavioural models for IoT devices in commercial environments.
Addressing the Challenges of Modern Commercial Networks
Commercial properties such as offices, retail sites, transport hubs, industrial and manufacturing facilities, healthcare and education institutions, sporting stadiums, and critical government networks increasingly rely on multi-vendor applications, devices, sensors, and robotics. These systems often lack interoperability, creating challenges for management in troubleshooting issues and maintaining a clear view of connected assets.
Astrotel AI Connect is designed to address these challenges by autonomously tracking network and device performance, identifying inefficiencies, and rectifying issues in real-time. Its behavioural models continuously learn what constitutes normal versus abnormal behaviour, enabling the platform to take actions to resolve problems autonomously.
Elizabeth Aris, Founder of Australian-headquartered Astrotel, said: “Astrotel AI Connect is designed to simplify network and device management for commercial properties. By combining broadband and dedicated fibre connectivity with Agentic AI and advanced behavioural models from UNSW’s research, we’ve developed a solution that helps businesses manage their networks, applications and connected devices without the need for a technician to trouble shoot an issue in many cases.”
Professor Vijay Sivaraman, Co-Founder of Canopus, added: “Astrotel AI Connect demonstrates how our SuperNetflow technology incorporating advanced behavioural models can be applied to address real-world challenges in network management. This partnership with Astrotel has enabled us to deliver a practical solution for businesses managing complex connectivity environments.”
