  • New IP network architecture creates an AI-fabric-ready foundation for Hotwire Communications, preparing its IP, data center and optical infrastructure for growing AI, enterprise and consumer traffic demands
  • Simplified network architecture reduces latency, enhances application performance, lowers power and cooling requirements, and streamlines network operations
  • Nokia's 7750 Service Router combines IP routing and optical capabilities in a single platform, reducing network complexity while improving scalability and efficiency

Nokia today announced that it has been selected by Hotwire Communications to deploy a next-generation network in North Carolina. The new network architecture is set to make Hotwire’s network AI-fabric ready, positioning the company to meet growing demand for high-performance connectivity from residential and business customers.

The optimized architecture is designed to reduce the number of network elements traffic must cross, supporting lower latency and a better user experience, including for emerging AI-powered applications and inference-related traffic. The Nokia 7750 Service Router consolidates IP routing and optical capabilities into a single platform, helping Hotwire simplify network architecture, reduce device count, lower operational complexity and improve power and cooling efficiency.

Getting our network AI-fabric ready was a strategic design decision. By simplifying our architecture with Nokia, we're reducing complexity, improving latency, and building a more energy-efficient network, one that's ready for the next wave of AI-driven demand from our customers. This investment ensures we can keep delivering the fastest, most advanced services to our customers

Pragash Pillai, Chief Technology Officer, Hotwire Communications

We are proud to partner with Hotwire Communications as it modernizes its network for the AI era. This project is a clear example of how a regional provider can use Nokia technology to simplify its architecture, make its network AI-fabric ready, and create more value for residential and business customers through improved performance, efficiency, and operational simplicity.

Greg Dorai, Senior VP and General Manager, IP Networks, Nokia

With go-live expected for early 2027, the project demonstrates Nokia’s ability in delivering both advanced hardware platforms and the professional services expertise required to operationalize complex IP and data center network deployments.
