On the 15th and 18th April, the IEEE WCNC2018 international conference "Leading the Way to 5G and Beyond" was held in Barcelona at the International Convention Center in Barcelona.
This conference is held annually in different locations around the world, focusing on the dissemination of information and ideas regarding the progress of wireless communications and networking technologies, bringing together industry and academia in a single forum.
This year the theme of the conference focused on the advances of the new network systems generation, the 5G, which addressed concepts from network slicing, virtualization (NFV) and programmability (SDN) of telecommunications networks, to new hardware that will support this new generation of networks and the challenges associated with this change.
Rui Pedro, from the Technological Coordination and Innovation department, represented the company and presented his article "Real-time Aggregation Framework in a 5G SDN Self-Management Environment", where he described and demonstrated the real-time aggregation and correlation framework, developed under the H2020 SELFNET project.
