Debate

Continuous innovation provides the means for telcos to not only survive and remain relevant but to explore new business areas and become indispensable digital service providers. However, is it the telcos who are really driving innovation, either internally or through participation in organisations, or are vendors retaining their grip on future technology roadmaps? Should telcos be co-innovating on common areas, including infrastructure, and restricting competition to service delivery? Furthermore, if telcos look beyond their own sector, which are the companies and industries they dream of emulating and what chance do they have of succeeding?
