Mehrnoosh Monshizadeh, Security Specialist, Research Technology and Innovation, Research, Nokia Networks

Noosha Monshizadeh says that the importance of security in carrier-grade programmable Software Designed Networks is equal to and greater than in traditional hardware-centric networks. Criminals and terrorists will always try to make attacks on comms networks in efforts to access data or bring down services but now it is possible, within the cloud, both to monitor and even prevent cyber attacks via adaptable detection strategies and the application of big data analytics. She also thinks that the growing number of NFV ecosystems is not necessarily making it any easier for service providers to select a transformation partner.
