Shenzhen, China – ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of information and communication technology solutions, today announced its exclusive success in securing the bid for the Mexico izzi MVNO project. ZTE will provide izzi Telecom with network-wide core network + VAS services based on Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat OpenStack Platform, showcasing ZTE's technological leadership in the virtualization field.

As the largest pay-TV operator and the second-largest fixed network operator in Mexico, izzi Telecom operates under Grupo Televisa, the country's largest media company. With 6.3 million subscribers, izzi leverages its advanced technologies and products to provide Quad-Play services to numerous cities across Mexico.

ZTE and izzi Telecom have collaborated on a groundbreaking project, marking the first solution based on Red Hat OpenStack Platform delivered by ZTE. This solution provides a comprehensive suite of Network Elements (NEs), including vCN and vVAS. They enhance the flexibility and reliability of network operations, enabling more agile and rapid development of new services, and significantly improving brand competitiveness.

ZTE is dedicated to innovative research in network technologies, offering NFV/SDN-based end-to-end 5G telecom cloud solutions. These solutions encompass ICT integration of hardware, cloud platforms, and cloud applications/MANO/cloud integration, facilitating operators' digital transformation efforts. Additionally, ZTE establishes open labs worldwide and collaborates with partners to cultivate an industry ecosystem and drive industrial upgrades.
