The increasingly rapid adoption of AI applications is driving the need for international enterprise networking platforms that combine compute and secure connectivity, which is why Deutsche Telekom, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and VMware teamed up for a groundbreaking distributed edge AI networking proof of concept (PoC). VMware’s VP of service provider product management and partner ecosystem, Lakshmi Mandyam, AWS’s head of worldwide business development for communication, Sameer Vuyyuru, and Deutsche Telekom’s senior VP of technology, architecture and innovation, Kaniz Mahdi, explain how they worked together to develop and test the network, why such an architecture is needed and what it means for enterprise users.
