Like other mobile operators, Tele2 Estonia is turning to small cells to help with its coverage requirements in dense urban environments. But integrating the technology is only one aspect; site rental costs and other factors contribute to the payback and business viability of deploying small cells. And as the capacity of small cells increases, whilst macro cells become smaller, might we soon see the two approaches converge into one seamless network?
