How to on-board your functions to multiple NFV ecosystems

Members of HPE’s partner ecosystem share a common ‘Open Dilemma’ which is: “How can we participate in multiple ecosystems to get our VNFs tested and validated” especially if software engineering resources are finite (as they always are). The ideal would be to have compatibility between the various testing regimes that are tasked to certify VNFs fit for onboarding.
Now HPE has made a major step towards that ultimate goal by joining the OPNFV’s Pharos Labs Project. As part of that move it is bringing along its own NFV testing procedures developed for its own Open NFV. Watch this Proof of Concept video where Prodip Sen of HPE and Heather Kirksey of OPNFV discuss the dynamics of the ‘Open Dilemma’ and how it’s being solved, while Rajesh Narayanan and Shiva Charan, both from HPE, work through a VNF onboarding demonstration.
