Is OpenStack the answer for the telco cloud? According to Chris Price it gives the industry some common ground and something to focus on, whether the target is the core or the edge: “It’s the ubiquitous virtualisation solution,” he says. Plus, its all-important openness means that OpenStack can be the way to bring in other players and technologies to solve problems. It doesn’t have to do everything, but it can reach into other resources to fill in the gaps.
