Codgertations: Google enters the mobile barge business (and other tall tales)

Martyn tracks down the Google barge after the San Francisco authorities kicked it off Treasure Island (next to the Bay Bridge) and moved it up the San Joaquin River to Stockton, where the asparagus is nicer. Four’s a crowd in mobile, but oops, we were wrong! As it turned out the initial Bouygues offer for SFR was turned down and we still don’t know (at the time of writing this) what the French mobile scene is going to look like. Ofcom bigs up UK broadband performance (and therefore its own policy outcomes), but it all depends on what you compare it to. CeBIT drew in at least two politicians: one was worried about European network security and privacy, the other was giving away some small change.
