Swisscom expands use of MATRIXX Software to power M-Budget digital MVNO

MATRIXX powers digital services for new brand of Switzerland’s biggest retailer

SARATOGA, Calif. November 30th, 2016 — MATRIXX Software (http://www.matrixx.com/) today announced that M-Budget Mobile, an innovative digital MVNO powered by Swisscom, has implemented MATRIXX software.

M-Budget Mobile is a brand of Switzerland’s biggest retailer, Migros, providing flexible service options and products for budget-conscious consumers. M-Budget delivers mobile offers with an appealing mobile experience on the best network in Switzerland, offering an array of both SIM-only and device-based plans. With over half a million customers, M-Budget has captured a key segment of the market which wants more than just basic mobile services and is looking for a richer service experience along with more granular control over spending and a full set of tools to self-manage their accounts.

Swisscom, which deployed MATRIXX for its own mobile service, has expanded its use of MATRIXX to power the M-Budget Mobile offerings. Customers enjoy a rich online experience, with simple tariff plans. There is an intuitive account ‘cockpit’ for self-service where customers can purchase add-ons, add roaming, monitor consumption, and change account options – all through their mobile device.

M-Budget Mobile is a highly successful brand that is part of a growing consumer trend being fueled by the digital and on-demand economies in which consumers:

  • Prefer to buy things on-demand versus signing contracts or committing to long term subscriptions

  • Enjoy self-direction and self-management of products and services through mobile devices and digital channels.

Using MATRIXX, M-Budget Mobile can better serve digital-savvy customers by providing an on-demand experience and the ability to design services and tariffs that fit the needs of this growing consumer segment. M-Budget’s services are available online and through Migros.
