Telia has launched a new platform designed to support enterprises in deploying and scaling Internet of Things (IoT) solutions. Businesses in the Nordic region can use Telia IoT Platform to gather, visualize and act on data from connected devices, with AI tools for analysis and optimization included. At the same time, Telia is introducing the platform’s first add-on service: Telia IoT Monitoring.

Built on Finnish developer Wapice’s IoT-TICKET technology, Telia IoT Platform has an intuitive interface and uses connectivity delivered by Telia’s secure and sustainable mobile networks. The platform already manages 28,000 IoT devices for customers in the private and public sectors, as a result of migrations from earlier Telia products.

The Telia IoT Monitoring service is a plug-and-play solution that offers wireless IoT devices, mobile connectivity and access to Telia IoT Platform in a single package, along with support from Telia’s IoT specialists.

Björn Hansen, Head of Advanced Mobility B2B, Telia Sweden: “In all industries, there is a significant need to digitalize and streamline processes in areas such as operations and maintenance. It’s a step towards sustainability and frees up resources for core activities.

“However, many organizations struggle to move beyond the pilot phase and scale IoT solutions. That’s what we aim to address with our new offerings. We’re making it easier to connect and integrate data securely, which in turn can accelerate automation and data-driven decision-making.”

Ahead of today’s launch, Telia IoT Monitoring has been implemented by major Swedish customers including residential property company LF Skåne Hyresfastigheter. The latter uses the service to improve indoor climate and optimize operations across 16 buildings and 625 apartments, resulting in increased convenience for tenants and numerous environmental benefits.
