Qualcomm and Dallah sign small cell patent license agreement

Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM) and Saudi Arabian company Dallah Trans Arabia Limited Liability Company (Dallah) today announced they have entered into a patent licensing agreement which covers multimode small cells. Under the terms of the agreement, Qualcomm has granted Dallah a royalty-bearing patent license to develop, manufacture and sell multimode small cells utilizing 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies. The agreement is consistent with Qualcomm's established global licensing terms.

Dallah Trans Arabia Limited Liability Company is owned by Dallah Al-Baraka Group, a private multinational corporation based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Dallah Al-Baraka Group has holdings throughout the Middle East, North Africa, Asia, and Europe, with investments including the financial, banking, healthcare, real estate, manufacturing, transportation, and operations and maintenance sectors. With this agreement, Dallah joins the growing list of OEMs around the world to have direct access to Qualcomm's breakthrough technologies .

"Qualcomm is pleased to enter into this strategic agreement with Dallah," said John Han, senior vice president and general manager, Qualcomm Technology Licensing. "With access to our diverse and ever-expanding technology patent portfolio, Dallah will now be able to develop and market compelling 3G/4G/5G small cells powered by Qualcomm's leading mobile technologies both in Saudi Arabia and abroad."

"Backed by the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030, and a history of delivering mega projects, Dallah Trans Arabia will use this patent license agreement to develop, market and sell 3G/4G/5G multimode small cells powered by Qualcomm's cutting edge technologies in the Middle East & North Africa region among other global regions."
