Vendor lock-in has resulted in various networking technologies failing to live up to their hype over the last 20 years. Not so with SDN and NFV, says Dr. Justin Dustzadeh, CTO & VP Technology Strategy, Networks, at Huawei Technologies. He believes that there is more to gain from embracing these new technologies and competing on the software side, in an open environment.
