SDN: just another brick out of the wall (between network and compute)

Nov 1, 2013

The TIA's Abe Nejad and John Jacobs talk with Martin Casado, the inventor of OpenFlow about the impact of SDN. According to Martin what we're really seeing is one chapter in a long, slow-motion coming together of networking and compute. SDN, he says, is about solving operational issues for the enterprise, but is also part of a much broader transformation which will see software do more and more and hardware become generic. The long-term implication? It will change the industry completely by putting network and compute on a single-speed track.
