Systems integration is one of the biggest challenges facing network operators who are planning to deploy Open RAN-based systems, notes Kristian Toivo, executive director of the Telecom Infra Project (TIP), but it is one that can be addressed with a community-driven approach, and that’s something that TIP is working on with the development of a certification scheme and pre-integrated configurations that meet operators’ needs.
