NFV functions must be exchangeable between SPs

Professor Kurt Tutschku, Blekinge Institute of Technology, talks to Martyn Warwick about the importance of NFV standards that can be extended end-to-end across the network of SP networks. What we need, he says, are functions and features that are exchangeable and interconnectable across network boundaries to enable global services. Overall, NFV will enable the industry to align the network to user requirements, whereas to now the users have had to align themselves to the network.
