Some early telco adopters of NFV are reporting that it's not as easy as we might have thought to bring NFV to deployment, and that it is a far more complex undertaking than many assumed. For example, Onboarding VNFs is proving difficult, especially functions ported from legacy functions, taking weeks or months. But is this a temporary situation, will it be improved in a year or so? And in the meantime, how can vendors make it easier for telcos to implement commercial NFV?
