MTS introduced a new tariff plan IoT for business. It includes seven ready-made solutions to suit different types of smart equipment and industry features characteristic to our business customers. The tariff is designed taking into account how a smart device – whether a remote video surveillance system, an online cash register or a transport sensor - uses information distribution channels that include mobile Internet, SMS, or even traditional voice calls.

To make IoT adoption even easier, we have specifically targeted particular equipment types when assembling our new tariffs. For example, for users of smart online cash registers we recommend a bundle with up to 1 GB of mobile Internet and 300 SMS, which represents the best option for a device that regularly sends data about purchases to tax authorities online, but also issues checks to customers in the SMS format. On the other hand, for video surveillance systems that transmit large amount of data remotely, we offer a bundle with up to 10 GB of mobile Internet.

Sergey Irevly, Director, Department of B2B product development and management, commented, "The ecosystem for smart devices is continuously expanding, with rapidly increasing amounts of transmitted data across numerous channels. As a result, previous generic pricing models for IoT solutions are becoming outdated, calling for individual approaches for each type of device. We analyzed our customers' needs and in response to their feedback we introduced a unique tariff plan that allows our clients to allocate resources efficiently while using the latest IoT functionality to best meet the requirements of their particular business.”
