ZTE launches digital-ops solution to drive digital transformation value

Via ZTE Press Center

Oct 20, 2017

20 October 2017, Shenzhen, China – ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, today released its new Digital-Ops Solution at the ZTE Global User Congress held in Brussels October 19th - 20th. As a big step in the way to the “Zero Touch Evolution”, this solution drives the digital transformation by value while assisting the CSP to achieve success in the ICT era.

Nowadays, besides the big competition pressure from OTTs, CSPs are still confronting the challenges from the network transformation and reconfiguration like virtualization, 5G, IoT and so forth. In addition, the efficiency improvement and cost optimization are also big challenges for them. Digitization, standardization, automation and intelligence become the most basic problems which every operator has to face during the digital transformation. ZTE’s Digital-Ops Solution takes these gaps between the target and reality into consideration, and divides the operators’ digital transformation into three stages.

The first stage focuses on the efficiency improvement in the separated operation domain. It aims to help the operators to make the network resources, operation resources and services quality visible, manageable and controllable, thereby improving efficiency while saving OPEX. In the second stage, more attention will be paid to the network value driven in the separated domain as value is taken as the key factor to bring more achievements for operators. The third stage intends to achieve the best balance between the investment and return in the crossing domains, with the TCO optimization and ROI maximization being the ultimate target.

Value is the core factor in the Digital-Ops Solution, which helps to break the barriers between the different operation domains and departments, and change the focus of network operation from KPIs to the ROI. With the booming development of digital economy, operators are now facing a world of seamless connection and zero touch. As a part of “Zero Touch Evolution”, ZTE’s Digital-Ops solution will definitely facilitate the CSP’s digital transformation greatly.
