In the context of the FTTH network expansion in Altice group, the Network Systems Development direction of Altice Labs designed the GPON 6000 Cabinet to be used at SFR.

This solution will be complemented with two OLT1-T1 units, to guarantee service for a total of 6.000 fibre customers. This project will be expanded and in a first stage it will bring fibre optic technology to 850.000 customers.

It is a robust, scalable solution that includes all the facilities from a central. The equipment is completely innovative in the climatization concept, making all the heat exchange in a passive manner and with a significantly reduced energy footprint.

The customization of the GPON 6000 cabinet allowed the availability in 6 different colors, in accordance with the rules of the french local municipalities.

It’s another important milestone in the installation of fibre optic networks for the customers of Altice Group and for Altice Labs particularly.
