Telstra acquires application development company Readify

Via Telstra

Jul 4, 2016

04 July 2016

Telstra today announced it has acquired Readify, a leading Australian provider of application development and software-focused consulting and managed services.

Readify’s capabilities, which include innovative enterprise cloud application solutions as well as Big Data and IoT solutions, will provide an additional platform for Telstra to drive digital transformation for its enterprise customers in domestic and global markets.

Telstra Executive Director Global Enterprise and Services, Michelle Bendschneider, said the acquisition supports the company’s goal of curating market leading services with its customers and complements Telstra’s recent acquisition of Kloud, who deliver world-class cloud migration services.

This adds to the growing technology capabilities recently acquired by Telstra in Australia, all of which bring value to customers in the Network, Security and Collaborations solution arenas from previous successful integrations of O2 Networks, Bridge Point Communications and NSC in the past three years.

“As we know, apps and software in general are playing an increasingly important role in businesses. Readify is recognised globally for its innovative software solutions and will further help us create software-led digital transformations with our customers,” Ms Bendschneider said.

“Readify will provide application development and data analytics services, nicely complementing Kloud’s existing services. It will enable Telstra to add incremental value to customers in enterprise cloud applications, API-based customisation and extensions as well as business technology advisory services.”

Readify has been recognised globally by Microsoft with numerous awards.

Graeme Strange, Readify Managing Director, said:

“We’re excited by the opportunity for Readify to grow as part of Telstra. “Readify has a proven record of creating innovative solutions with our customers and, with Telstra’s scale, the opportunities are tremendously exciting.”

Readify employs around 200 staff across major Australian cities, including 160 software developers.
