Sprint to assume full ownership of more than 100 stores currently operated under joint venture with Dixons Carphone

New Stores Will Contribute to Sprint’s Rapidly Expanding Retail Footprint

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – JUNE 9, 2017 – Today Sprint (NYSE: S) and Dixons Carphone announced that ownership of Sprint Connect stores, previously operated under equally shared ownership of a joint venture between the two companies, will transfer to full Sprint ownership while Sprint continues to utilize Dixon Carphone’s retail platform. In response, Sprint’s President of Omnichannel Sales Kevin Crull issued the following statement:

This partnership achieved its objective of accelerating Sprint’s retail transformation. We are rapidly expanding our retail footprint to serve the high demand for the Sprint value proposition. There will be no disruption in Sprint Connect store operations and they will remain staffed by the retail teams currently working to serve our customers in these locations."
