A new cell phone entails a lot of work in certain cases. Set up device management, install apps, adjust individual corporate settings – businesses with hundreds of devices can make sure their employees do not have to tediously configure their devices manually. Mobile enrollment is the name of the new technology that enables companies to transfer applications and settings onto business devices. The technical term is deceptive. For employees it is just as easy as filling up with gas. They simply set up a Wi-Fi connection and the rest runs automatically. It also means an enormous time-saving for businesses, whether they are SMEs or MNCs. Deutsche Telekom is now the first network operator in Europe to ‘fill up’ Samsung devices of business customers automatically from the cloud.

The new Deutsche Telekom service includes Knox Mobile Enrollment, forms part of the Deutsche Telekom service portfolio, and is now available in conjunction with the EMM service (Hosted Enterprise Mobility Management) and the “MobileIron” cloud product from Deutsche Telekom. Patrick Molck-Ude, who is responsible for network business for Deutsche Telekom’s corporate customers, says:

“The world of work is now mobile. Growing smartphone fleets are a challenge for businesses. Our new service simultaneously registers and installs all smartphones in a large device fleet. IT departments virtually do nothing manually when changing devices. All of which saves time and money.” Hyesung Ha, Senior Vice President, Global Mobile B2B Team at Samsung Electronics adds: “We’re delighted that Deutsche Telekom has extended its service portfolio to include our Knox Mobile Enrollment solution, enabling companies to provide their employees with new business devices quickly, conveniently and securely.”
