Gresham Computing is a leading financial software and services company that specializes in providing real-time transaction control solutions to the global matching and reconciliation market. With a focus on speed , Gresham Computing purchased Dell PowerEdge R630 servers to provide the optimal platform for measuring transaction processing times for its reconciliation solution, Clareti Transaction Control (CTC).

Hetzner Online , a web hosting service provider and data center operator based in Germany, selected Dell PowerEdge R730 servers to complement its branded hardware portfolio of server products, as they offer high performance especially during periods of high demand while also providing extensive functionality and storage options.

IPServerOne meets demand for cloud hosting services

IPServerOne is a provider of web hosting solutions for Malaysian companies and individuals to achieve business success on the Internet. IPServerOne was expanding its hosting solutions to include a cloud offering and needed high performance servers that were quick to deploy, efficient and easy to maintain in-house. In order to do so, the hosting company deployed Dell PowerEdge R730 servers to deliver the optimal price-performance for its cloud hosting services.

University of the Sciences virtualizes infrastructure to save on energy costs and space

University of the Sciences , founded in 1821 in Philadelphia, is home to the first college of pharmacy in North America and is one of the leading health sciences schools in the nation. University of the Sciences was experiencing an increased demand on their network operations center and decided to make the switch to a virtual environment, with Dell PowerEdge R730 servers supporting the new virtual infrastructure.

“We went from 90 physical servers to ten PowerEdge R730 servers and were able to save on electricity and space, while also optimizing our applications – including Microsoft Exchange and SQL,” said Long Le, director of networking and computing sciences, University of the Sciences.

The University of Warsaw delivers 1.5 petaFLOPs of performance for bioinformatics studies

The Next Generation Sequencing Centre (NGSC) at the Centre of New Technologies, University of Warsaw is a research facility located in Warsaw, Poland for genomics and bioinformatics studies in biology, medicine, diagnostics and therapy. NGSC needed to store and process huge amounts of data generated by sequencers and were looking to create an energy-efficient supercomputer cluster that enables high speed and efficient calculations. NGSC turned to 150 Dell PowerEdge R730 servers with two AMD FirePro S9150 server GPUs for their ORION cluster.
